Due to winter weather in the forecast for Friday, December 12, please review the following updates related to scheduled campus events, including the Commencement ceremonies and final exams schedule. 

The safety of our students, staff, faculty, and guests is our highest priority. Winter weather in Cincinnati can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to prepare in advance and allow extra time to travel to campus Friday.

Commencement: Graduation is a time to celebrate. We know how much this day means to you and your family. To help ensure that everyone is able to celebrate this important milestone safely, we are moving the Doctoral Hooding to Friday, December 12, 6 p.m. (Please note that the originally scheduled 3 p.m. start time for the Master’s and Undergraduate Ceremony remains unchanged.) 
 
If you are a doctoral graduate or guest, please visit the Commencement website for further details, including your modified arrival time and ceremony information. Graduates will also receive an email to their uc.edu address with this information.

DOCTORAL HOODING UPDATES:

The hooding ceremony logistics remain the same, but the ceremony time has been moved to 6 P.M. and your assigned parking garage is changed. 

• Doctoral graduates and guests should now park in University Avenue Garage. You will still use the parking voucher that was previously claimed in the ticketing system. 

• Doctoral graduates should arrive no later than 5:30 P.M. to the Lindner Center for check-in.  

• Guests will use the same tickets previously claimed.

• Ceremony will begin promptly at 6 P.M.

Final Exams: If you have final exams scheduled for Friday, please review the Registrar’s website for full details on inclement weather plans. We appreciate the flexibility of both students and faculty in ensuring everyone’s safety while wrapping up the semester. If there is a modification to the campus schedule tomorrow, you will receive a UC Alert with further instructions.
